What are the Maids of Athena?
The Maids of Athena are the Junior Auxiliary Order of the Daughters of Penelope, the female affiliate of the Order of AHEPA. They are also the sister organization of the Sons of Pericles, the male youth affiliate to AHEPA. With over 100 Chapters spanning across North America, Canada, and Greece, the Maids are one of the largest Greek female youth organizations in existence. Each Chapter is dedicated to promoting Hellenism by strengthening Greek culture through educational, artistic, and philanthropic activities.
The Maids of Athena take great pride in their sponsorship and support of philanthropic activities, leadership conferences, scholarship programs, travel opportunities, the arts, athletic tournaments, and multiple social functions. At the end of every year, the Maids of Athena take an active part in the AHEPA Family Supreme Convention, which is located in a different city every year.
The Maids of Athena offer opportunities for girls between the ages of 14 and 28 to do anything they could want to do, as well as to meet people to share these experiences with. Joining the Maids of Athena is like gaining a new family of sisters.
